United Krachistan Movement: Clarifications

UNITED KRACHISTAN MOVEMENT: CLARIFICATIONS

  • The proposal by the United Krachistan Movement to rename Karachi as “Krachistan” is presented as a suggestion and consultation for the people of Karachi. It is entirely the right of the people of Karachi to accept or reject this proposal. Written criticism, suggestions, and support in this regard will be openly encouraged.
  • The formation of the United Krachistan Movement does not aim at the automatic separation of Karachi from Sindh, nor is it a movement for declaring Karachi a province by default. Rather, its purpose is to facilitate a neutral, unbiased referendum, in accordance with public need and awareness, so that the oppressed, marginalized, and deprived people of Karachi may — free from prejudice — live a dignified and high-quality life like citizens elsewhere in the world. Written criticism, suggestions, and support in this regard are welcomed and encouraged.
  • The fundamental objective of the United Krachistan Movement is not negative criticism, but positive, constructive criticism and practical consultation. Through mutual cooperation with the relevant institutions under the Government of Sindh and the Government of Pakistan, the movement seeks to resolve the problems and hardships faced by the people of Karachi in accordance with the Constitution and laws of Pakistan and the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) — so that meaningful, modern, and positive changes may be brought into their lives.
  • For the reconstruction and expansion of Karachi, the United Krachistan Movement will, in light of past relationships and experience, seek possible financial and consultative cooperation from international institutions, strictly within the framework of the Constitution and the law.
  • The United Krachistan Movement will fully support sincere and loyal individuals who stand for Karachi, Pakistan, and the religion of Islam. At the same time, it will strongly oppose every powerful individual or group that exploits Karachi, Pakistan, or Islam for political dominance, economic gain, personal power, wealth, or status. The movement will offer its complete and unwavering support for the revival of the true spirit of Islam.
  • The United Krachistan Movement believes that all political parties in Pakistan have, according to their manifestos and capacities, struggled for the betterment, prosperity, and development of the people of Pakistan, including Karachi. The public is well aware of the abilities, performance, and struggles of these political parties. Our objective is not opposition to any political party, and we expect the same spirit of goodwill, tolerance, and positivity in return from all political forces.

After completing its organizational structure, the United Krachistan Movement, if deemed necessary through consultation with its General Members, will lawfully complete the process of registration. However, if the very people — on whose behalf and for whose problems the United Krachistan Movement was established — fail to provide the necessary cooperation, then, following a decision by a two-thirds majority of total members in a joint meeting of the United General Body, the United Krachistan Movement, along with all its sub-councils and committees, shall be permanently and completely dissolved. In such a case, all assets shall be transferred, through the Supreme Court of Pakistan, to the Government of Pakistan, to be utilized for the welfare of poor journalists, poor lawyers, deserving members of the United Krachistan Movement, widows and orphans welfare funds, and national defense funds. No claim whatsoever on these assets shall be acceptable from the initiator Ansar AbdulQahhar, nor from any member of his family. This decision shall be final, absolute, and irrevocable.
