Sacred Hadith: “Each one of you is a ruler, and each one of you will be questioned.”
It is narrated by Hazrat Abdullah bin Umar (RA) that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said:
“Every one of you is a ruler, and every one of you will be questioned about his subjects. A ruler is a guardian and will be questioned about his subjects—whether he fulfilled their rights and protected their lives and property. A man is a ruler over his household and will be questioned about them. A woman is a ruler over her husband’s home and children and will be questioned about them. A servant is a ruler over his master’s property and will be questioned about it. In short, each one of you is a ruler, and each one of you will be questioned about his subjects.” (Sahih Muslim, Hadith: 4724)
In Pakistan, both the system of governance and the electoral system have failed catastrophically. The dangerous extreme of public disillusionment with the electoral process poses a serious threat to Pakistan’s stability. A few select families dominate national politics; in every era, one member or another remains in power, merely changing faces at election time. Political and religious parties are meant to be the collective trust and heritage of their workers and the people. Yet in Pakistan, they have been reduced to private family inheritances—as if no one other than the leader’s spouse and children is worthy or capable. Party workers and office-bearers are treated as nothing more than a “Crowd of Fools.” The continuous failures of the political system have turned politics and politicians into objects of public contempt. The nation urgently needs a strong, genuinely representative mass political organization. A fair and just distribution of power among the federation, provinces, and districts is essential. Sustainable solutions lie in systemic reform—whether through a presidential system or the creation of smaller provinces. However, it would be more appropriate to hold a neutral and transparent referendum in Pakistan to decide between a parliamentary or presidential system. Yet, for the immediate resolution of the problems in your own locality, the message is clear:
Step Forward Yourselves—As Leaders And As Rulers. Do Not Wait Any Longer For A Messiah.
